Fabled movie star Libby Montgomery checked into the Penthouse suite of the Oasis Casino and Hotel, and proceeded to enchant the staff. Small town girl Peggy Sue McGee arrived and landed a job as a chambermaid, but was fired after she was caught tasting Libby's liquor with the encouragement of Bellhop Jonsey Ford, who also lost his job. Card dealer Frankie Zane revealed to gambler Fiona Olaconacher that he used to be a comedian. Casino boss Joey Calligari impulsively proposed marriage to his lead Showgirl, but she chose to leave town in search of greener pastures. This was a relief to Vincent Martino the entertainment director who was busy trying to book new acts. Rudy Bellini, promoted to floor manager, told accountant Bobby DeFaro that he was hired due to nepotism.   And audiences were treated to performances in the Camel’s Toe Show Lounge by Miss Montgomery, the Amazing Confoundo, the King of Magic, Storytime with Wilbur the Pig, and Delores Sinatra.

Vincent attempted to gain a family audience by putting a children's entertainer in the Camel's Toe Show Lounge. Storytelling with Wilbur the Pig enchanted the kids as well as Libby. Meanwhile, after announcing her engagement to the boss, Veronica received quite a lot of advice and realized marriage would mean becoming a wife and giving up her career on the stage. She sadly decided to break it off with Joey and head to Hollywood to pursue her dreams. Unemployed Peggy Sue wandered about the casino looking for crusts of bread to eat, and Fiona continued to play the slots without any luck.

With his feature act cancelled and his showgirls nowhere to be found, Vincent Martino turned to Libby Montgomery, who saved the day with a torchy rendition of "Fever". Joey Calligari attempted to convince his cousin Rudy Bellini that he wasn’t canoodling with Veronica Starr. Rudy the floor manager blurted out an inappropriate comment to casino dealer Frankie Zane in front of gambler Fiona Olaconacher. Fiona played cards and consoled recently fired chambermaid Peggy Sue McGee.  Escorted back to her palatial penthouse by casino accountant Bobby DeFaro, Libby Montgomery flirtingly discussed parties and birthday clowns in a Sondheim manner. Although Delores Sinatra performed an extraordinary audition for Vincent Martino,  he was not able to offer her a job.  Shortly thereafter, Vincent burst into the office to complain about Veronica's tardiness, only to interrupt his boss Joey Calligari who was proposing to the surprised showgirl.

Libby Montgomery showed off her earrings  - the fabled pink diamonds of Tanzania -  to Joey Calligari, casino owner. Rudy Bellini said he only had a job because the boss is his cousin. Vincent Martino also learned from Rudy that Joey was having an affair with Veronica Starr. Libby and Veronica musically compared men to meats. Recently fired chambermaid Peggy Sue McGee tearfully turned in her uniform to Bobby DeFaro.  Frankie Zane was chided for the complexity of his card games. And the King of Magic entertained with rings, cards, and coins.

Showgirl Veronica Starr delivered a breakfast tray to fabled Hollywood actress Libby Montgomery. The ladies discussed men and practiced poses and emotions.  Recently fired bellhop Jonsey Ford reluctantly turned in his uniform to casino accountant Bobby DeFaro and sadly said farewell.  Frankie Zane revealed a moody, yet poetic side of his personality while dealing cards to Fiona Olaconacher.  While junior showgirl Audrey practiced her walk, Vincent Martino got into an argument with Joey Calligari regarding Veronica Starr’s tardiness for the show at the Camel’s Toe Lounge, unaware that his boss was the very reason she was late. And, after watching an entrancing performance by the King of Magic, Libby was escorted back to her penthouse suite by Joey, only to have him surprise her later in the evening.

While fabled Hollywood actress Libby Montgomery was being entertained in the Camel’s Toe Show Lounge by charming entertainment director Vincent Martino, the new chambermaid Peggy Sue McGee tidied her Penthouse Suite; but Bellhop Jonsey Ford joined her and suggested they have a nip off the bar cart.  They were caught red-handed by hotel boss Joey Calligari, who  was sneaking into the penthouse suite for a naughty encounter with Showgirl Veronica Starr. Joey fired the two staff on the spot.

After performing his Mentalist act in the show lounge, the Amazing Confoundo attempted to use his powers to get paid by accountant Bobby DeFaro. Dealer Frankie Zane made a fruitless attempt to teach Rudy Bellini how to count cards, and gambler Fiona Olaconacher dispensed advice and slot machine tokens with equal abandon.

When Miss Montgomery was escorted back to her suite after the late show, she was surprised to find Joey Caligari passed out and pantless on her bed.  The Hollywood Star suggested she might check out of the Oasis and stay at the Dunes or the Sands, but an embarrassed Joey and Vincent assured her that the hotel would do anything at all to keep her in residence, including improving the view from her penthouse suite.
