Ian Ferguson - Director/Producer
Ian is best known as the co-author (with Will Ferguson) of the best-selling humour book HOW TO BE A CANADIAN and author of VILLAGE OF THE SMALL HOUSES winner of the Leacock Medal for Humour. Ian's latest non-fiction humor books are SURVIVAL GUIDE TO BC and TRUDEAU ON TRUDEAU. Ian trained as an actor at the University of Alberta and obtained an MFA in Directing from York University. Ian is an award -winning playwright and director and was Artistic Director of Edmonton’s Union Theatre. Ian created the original DIE-NASTY format along with the founding actors, and directed the company's first five seasons. In Victoria, Ian has directed the plays LITTLE WOMEN, ANIMAL FARM, acted in HANA'S SUITCASE, TWELFTH NIGHT, directed one-acts at several YOUNG PLAYWRIGHT FESTIVALS (all Kaleidoscope). Kirsten Van Ritzen - Actor/Producer
Kirsten is Artistic Director of Broad Theatrics, the theatre company that produces Sin City. She is a professional actor who has received acclaim for performances across Canada and the U.S. in theatre, comedy, film and television. On Vancouver Island, she has acted in BLACKSTONES & BATHTUBS (Razzle Dazzle),SMALLTOWN A PICKUP MUSICAL (Theatre Skam), THAT FACE (Langham Court), THE ODD COUPLE (Island Repertory), eleven CHORUS/LINE Musical CABARETS (Gotta Getta Gimmick); HOUSE AT POOH CORNER, THE GIVER, THE SECRET GARDEN (2014 + 2017), HANA’S SUITCASE, ANIMAL FARM, LITTLE WOMEN, and TWELFTH NIGHT (all Kaleidoscope); hundreds of improv, standup and comedy variety shows; and several roles in American television. Kirsten also writes for the stage and screen. RADIOLAND'48 was selected for The Suncor Festival at Calgary's Lunchbox Theatre. Her one-woman play ALL MY DAY JOBS is published in ONE FOR THE ROAD (Signature Editions). Her full-length drama MAD LADY PEEL is in development. Screenplays for two short films are currently in pre-production.
